One of the most courageous tasks in theatre is being able to stand and deliver a monologue with conviction. In this workshop students will be given simple techniques to creating an engaging monologue with stunning twists and colorful characters. The styles can range anywhere between comedy and tragedy. We will also explore acting techniques to bring their monologues to life. |

In this workshop students will work in paint using a range of acrylic pouring mediums, texturizers, gold leaf, wax and shellac in innovative and exciting ways. Students will use images and maps collected from their visit around Singapore as a starting point for this project. |

The Playground and The Stage |

In this workshop we will be taking the playgroud games we know, and some we don't, and transforming them into devised pieces of theatre. From play to Play, we will look at characters and storytelling as well as stagecraft such as soundscaping, action choreography, musicality and stylization. Expect a lot of games, laughter, stories, and creativity. You will be expected to start of with a game and end up with a Play. |

Explore the concept of diverstiy through the medium of movement. This workshop will introduce you to the foundations of contemporary dance and equip you with the tools needed to both perform and create movement in this style. Together with your leader and the other participants, you will be taken through a collaborative and artisitc process of generating, developing and structuring your compositional ideas, and work towards completing a piece for performance. |

Hip Hop is a fun and physically demanding form of dance which encompasses aspects of it's many sub-forms, such as body popping, breakdancing, fast footwork and improvising. This workshop will teach you the basic techniques needed to execute the fundamental movements of this style, as well as an opportunity to try out some of your own signature moves through choreographic and improvisational tasks. Guided by your leader, participants of this workshop will work collaboratively to develop a piece for performance, based around their own ideas and experiences of the festival's theme 'diversity'. |

No previous experience is required just the desire to create music. We will start with the elements of music: melody, harmony, and rhythm, learning to shape sound and lyrics to create a piece of music which reflects us. Students will break into small groups and exlore the songwriting process using instruments, voice, percussion, and/or computers. Songs will be shared with everyone on the final day. |

Samba is a fast paced rhythmic style of percussion music with both African and Brazilian roots. Students will experience learning and playing together using different instruments from Brazil! The opportunity of taking part in a percussion ensemble is a unique experience. We will learn rhythms like Capoeira, Samba Reggae, Baiao, Lambada and more. |
